James McMurtry Announces The Black Dog and The Wandering Boy Tour 2026

Acclaimed lyricist James McMurtry hits the road for his 2025-2026 The Black Dog and The Wandering Boy Tour, supporting his new album of the same name. Released in June 2025, the album is his first in four years and is praised for its profound, narrative-driven songwriting.

Kicking off in the Kessler Theater on November 14, 2025, the tour spans the United States. Singer-songwriter BettySoo joins as a special guest on many dates. The tour will make stops in cities including Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Atlanta, and Memphis.

McMurtry will also appear at the 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL in South Walton, FL, in January 2026. This tour celebrates the new record from one of America's most essential songwriters.
